The following books, by the Institute for the Languages of Finland, can be regarded as authoritative:

• Kielitoimiston kielioppiopas (2015). Grammar guide, addressing issues like inflection, sentence structure, and use of pronouns.
• Kielitoimiston oikeinkirjoitusopas (8th edition 2012). Spelling and punctuation guide.
• Kielitoimiston nimiopas (2008). Guide to writing and inflecting proper names, including the use of foreign names.
