Table of Character Entities for ISO Latin-1

This document is intended for presenting the same information as is given in appendix Character Entities for ISO Latin-1 of the HTML 3.2 Reference Specification.

This document presents the information in a tabular form, making it hopefully somewhat easier to read (on a browser which supports the TABLE element). Moreover, for each character the character itself is presented, too, as a glyph. Please notice that the presentation of the characters as you see it in the first column of the table reflects the behavior of your browser. The second and third column contain the symbolic and numeric escape notation ("character entity"), and the fourth column contains the name of the character as given in the appendix to the HTML 3.2 specification. These names are somewhat different from the official names used in the ISO 8859-1 standard. For the meanings of the characters, see The ISO Latin 1 character repertoire - a description with usage notes.
